En Correspondencias se agrupan tres proyectos que se relacionan temática y formalmente. En primer, lugar la instalación TODAVÍA ESTÁS AQUÍ ocupa el espacio central de la galería. La puesta en escena de un telón de fondo rojo para la disposición al “acontecimiento” se integra en un diálogo con la serie Confía en tus sentidos que está formada por tres rótulos luminosos que imitan la estética de las señalizaciones urbanas con los textos: Te nombro porque no te veo, Te miro porque no te entiendo y Te busco porque no te encuentro. Mientras que la frase Todavía estás aquí y su reflejo nos propone una dicotomía entre realidad y espacio de representación que pretende resignificar su función como lugar para la cultura o el arte, las tres frases hacen referencia a la problemática relación que tenemos con la percepción de lo real a través de nuestros sentidos y una constante en la historia del pensamiento y la filosofía.

La serie de 30 piezas Front Pages & Headlines propone una mirada detenida y pausada sobre una selección de páginas y portadas de los periódicos New York Times y New York Post. La serie Dinners & Faces es una serie de dibujos a lápiz blanco sobre cartón negro a partir de la utilización de imágenes de ciudadanos anónimos en situación de protesta en espacios públicos. Aparecen contenidas como fantasmas en siluetas de rótulos de carretera de restaurantes y negocios. 

En Correspondencias, el artista ha impreso la frase TODAVÍA ESTÁS AQUÍ creando un theatrum que ocupa el protagonismo del espacio de la Galería. Los colores blanco, rojo y negro llenan sus paredes con una escala desproporcionada en un gran juego de carga simbólica.

Correlations groups together three projects that are thematically and formally related. Firstly, the installation YOU ARE STILL HERE occupies the central space of the gallery. The staging of a red backdrop for the disposition to the «event» is integrated in a dialogue with the series Trust your senses, which is made up of three luminous signs that imitate the aesthetics of urban signs with the texts: Te nombro porque te no te veo, Te miro porque te no te entiendo and Te busco porque te no encuentro. While the phrase You are still here and its reflection proposes a dichotomy between reality and the space of representation that seeks to re-signify its function as a place for culture or art, the three phrases refer to the problematic relationship we have with the perception of the real through our senses and a constant in the history of thought and philosophy.

The 30-piece series Front Pages & Headlines takes a slow, leisurely look at a selection of pages and front pages from the New York Times and New York Post. The series Dinners & Faces is a series of white pencil drawings on black cardboard based on the use of images of anonymous citizens protesting in public spaces. They appear contained as ghosts in silhouettes of restaurant and business road signs.

In Correspondencias, the artist has printed the phrase YOU ARE STILL HERE, creating a theatrum that takes centre stage in the gallery space. The colours white, red and black fill its walls with a disproportionate scale in a great play of symbolic charge.
