La serie de cuadros: “La ciudad improbable”, invita a contemplar y a comparar una cierta tipología de casas que existen en consonancia con entornos naturales perfectamente preservados. Casas que traducen a formas construidas, unos determinados modos de vida tradicional y que podríamos definir como casas que atienden a una estética de la necesidad. En esta ocasión, los textos enfrentan sobre algunas imágenes idílicas, utópicas una construcción de la ciudad distorsionada por lo mercantil. La casa como sueño o como inversión confronta dos posibilidades de observar el entorno urbano. Habitar en “la ciudad improbable” supone, situarse en los espacios descritos por la fotografía de Walker Evans cuando de manera objetiva documenta los flujos de los habitantes en el metro de Nueva York.

The series of paintings, «The unlikely city» invites to contemplate and to compare a certain typology of houses that exist in line with perfectly preserved natural environments. Houses that translate to forms built a certain traditional ways of life and that we could define as houses that attend to an aesthetic of the necessity. This time, the texts deal with some idyllic, utopian images a construction of the city distorted by the mercantile. The house as a dream or as an investment, confronts two possibilities of observing the urban environment. Dwelling «The unlikely city» means, placing yourself in the spaces described by the photograph of Walker Evans when in an objective way documents the flows of the inhabitants in the New York subway.
